LSD History

How it started -

Engineering Clarity

LSD is a new venture, entered into by an experienced machine shop that deals with high precision projects day in and day out.  Projects that included aircraft maintenance support, high-end roller coaster parts, and high precision/small batch projects. With our precision and experience in  materials, fixturing and tooling coupled with our  knowledge and research in the arms industry, we get rid of the fluff, and bring you form and function. We build parts and platforms that perform, and design out the features that don’t. All of our products are 100% made in the USA by hard working men and women.

Who is LSD Arms?

The company started out of necessity, and the recognition of a changing world. The owner Jeff Weiler brings to LSD the experience and machinery from AW Designs, a contract manufacturing company of 6 years and 28 years of mechanical engineering in the military and aerospace industry.

Our Equipment & Factory

LSD is located in an 9000 square ft facility where parts are manufactured on HAAS CNC machines that were purchased new in 2019 and 2020, which include

  • 2 – VF4SS Vertical milling machines
  • 2 – ST-30 Lathes with Live tooling and bar feeding capabilities
  • 1 – EC-400 Horizontal mill for high volume production

What we offer, and the future.

LSD currently offers AR 15 lowers in several configurations to meet customers’ needs and tastes. These lowers will be offered in 6061 Aluminum and 7075-T6 Aluminum. The 6061 is very adequate. The 7075 will be our premium line.  The lowers will be produced to exceed mil-spec standards and tolerances.

What we currently offer:

80% Lowers in both materials.

Fully machined lowers in both materials.

Matched sets of uppers and lowers.

Later we will offer AR-9 platforms, Machined AK Lowers, and develop new and innovative products.
